A revolutionary and sustainable office building is currently being constructed in Den Bosch (The Netherlands). Campus Offices, a provider of full-service office environments, is partnering with HOLD, a conceptual builder of sustainable office buildings, to develop a new type of office space covering over 4,000 square metres. Zoontjens is proud to be part of the project!
Low CO2 Impact
The construction of the office building is part of the expansion of Campus Hambaken. This office space addresses the demand for a new generation of workspaces—environments that promote efficient working in pleasant surroundings and can be easily adapted. Moreover, this office building has a very low CO2 impact. The building will be completed at record speed as it is constructed entirely from wood and prefabricated elements.
Collaboration with Zoontjens
What makes this project special is HOLD’s collaboration with Zoontjens for the interior flooring. Eva de Wit, project manager at HOLD, explains: “By partnering with Zoontjens, we are making the building even more sustainable by choosing slabs instead of a traditional poured floor. This choice will make it easier to dismantle the building in the future, allowing the materials to be reused elsewhere.”
Acoustics
Stephan van Berkel, manager of Roof Services at Zoontjens, is overseeing this project on behalf of Zoontjens. “Not only is our system modular and circular, but it also provides excellent sound insulation within the office. We first laid a test installation, which was positively evaluated by TNO. For this project, we will be using the Dreen® Magna system. Given the limited height and the need for minimal support points, the 60×60 cm size at 4.4 cm thickness was found to be the best solution.”
We expect to begin installation in a few weeks, with the building’s completion scheduled for late 2024.
