Construction work was carried out at Terminal 5 at London Heathrow airport from 2002 to 2008. The Terminal 5 complex consists of several buildings (5A, 5B and 5C), a new control tower and a railway station.
The main building, 5A, is the largest free-standing building in the United Kingdom, but Terminal 5B, which measures 442 metres (1,450 ft) long by 52 metres (171 ft) wide and 19.5 metres (64 ft) high, is quite impressive as well. Just like the main building, Terminal 5B features glass façades. In order to enable the use of window washing machines on these façades, it was decided to install Pardak®90 on the roof over the southern part of the building.
