Project

Renova
Tilburg

The new BMW MINI Renova building in Tilburg is ready. In common with many other BMW sites, this new building also has its own rooftop car park.

 COMPREHENSIVE

The new Renova premises has a wonderful showroom, a workshop with offices and a rooftop car park on the second floor which can be locked and where the cars can be parked safely and securely.

INSULATION AND L-SECTION

The roof is some 1600 square metres in size. We installed the Pardak®80 system on top of the insulation boards with their impressive thickness of 16 cm. Since this system is specifically intended for less frequently trafficked rooftop car parks (or for renovation purposes) it is commonly used at car dealerships. To properly lock the edge slabs into place whilst enabling them to withstand the horizontal pressure loads, we installed an L-section all around this car park.

STANDARD DESIGN FEATURE

Mies Architectuur is BMW’s architect of choice. This firm also designed the buildings for BMW van Poelgeest in Amstelveen, BMW Ekris in Zeist and BMW Kalfsbeek in Schiedam the Netherlands, to name a few earlier projects. Many of the designs that Mies Architectuur has made for BMW feature rooftop car parks, mainly with an eye to the space available. If space is limited, a rooftop car park is a standard feature of the design. And it is always constructed by installing a Zoontjens rooftop car park system.
