Kleine
Warande
Zeist

Kleine Warande, a complex of luxury apartments, was built on a unique spot on Utrechtseweg, in the town centre of the Dutch town of Zeist. The building with its stacked design is surrounded by plenty of greenery. The wonderful outdoor spaces are the finishing touch, making Kleine Warande a great place to live.

STACKED DESIGN

Loostad Ontwikkeling commissioned the Inbo Architecten firm of architects to design this luxury apartment complex. The white, U-shaped building is a stacked structure which slopes down towards the existing low-rise buildings on the back. The complex features 76 rental apartments with a spacious indoor car park for 80 cars underneath, all built by the Ufkes construction company.

FINISHED TO PERFECTION

The stacked shape of the building enabled rooftop terraces to be constructed on the upper storeys. The roof of the indoor car park has also been landscaped to create a multifunctional, enclosed garden where residents can meet or quietly enjoy the many plants and vegetation in the garden which was designed and created by Loohorst Landscaping. Zoontjens’ Dreen® slabs on DNS® were used for paving the central garden and the private terraces, and they combine perfectly with the Corten steel, vegetation, and seating furniture that was chosen to complete the rooftop space.
